Addie Lee James of Rockford departed this earthly life June 16, 2025. She was born April 6, 1948 in Tchula, MS the daughter Charlie and Lillie Mae Blissit. Addie lived in Rockford over 60 years coming from Chicago, IL. She married Calvin James, June 23, 1984. Addie was employed as a nurses aid by Rockford Memorial Hospital 13 years before becoming ill. She was a former member of  St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Addie graduated from Harper High School.

Addie leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, Calvin; twelve sisters, Hattie Johnson, Jeruthia Clinkscales, Debbie Johnson, Lorettia Johnson, Dorethia Johnson, Karen Johnson, Rochelle Johnson, Betty J. Blissit, Shirley Blissit, Alicia Blissit, Patricia Blissit and Marlene (Roosevelt) Wright; three brothers, Joe Blissit, Robert (Mary) Johnson and Levy Johnson; a host nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; three sisters Lorraine Johnson, Susan Silas Johnson, and Doris Blissit; and three brothers, Golden Johnson and Roland Johnson Jr., Charlie Blissit Jr.
