A lversia "Big V" Tolefree of Rockford departed this earthly life February 14, 2023. She was born November 26, 1957 in Rockford the daughter of Robert and Allene Jarrett. Alversia married Raymond Tolefree, March 30, 1998, he preceded her in death. She was employed as a machinist by Elco Textron 25 years. After retiring she became a driver for board of education, driving Subtran for Sunrise. Alversia was a former member of Macedonia Baptist Church and attended West Side Church of Christ. She attended Auburn High School later receiving her G.E.D.

A lversia leaves to cherish many loving memories, four daughters, Carmisha  Jarrett, Miaka Jarrett and Amber Jarrett, Shamaya Jarrett; five sons, Marvin  (Latoya) Jarrrett and Michael Jarrett, John Duckett, Aarion Wilson and Mykell Jarrett; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; beloved sister, Mary Jarrett; 3 nieces, 2 nephews; sons in law, Donnie Fort and Jerrell Simmons; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and daughter, Raven Wilson.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
