Andrew "Drew" McBride Jr. of Rockford departed this earthly life January 29, 2023. He was born March 23, 1961 in Rockford the son of Andrew McBride Sr. and Opal McBride. He was employed as a fork lift operator, by Nelson Manufacturing. Andrew attended West High School, later to receive his G.E.D.

Andrew leaves to cherish many memories, his daughter, LaShaunda Wilson; 2 grandchildren, Keshaun Stephens and Knowledge Wilson ; and 3 great grandchildren, Kayleah, Khalil and Legaci Stephens; mother, Opal (Cornell) Dandridge; four sisters, Wanda (Kevin) Primm, Brenda K. Gatlin, Linda Carter and Monica Baeza; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Andrew McBride Sr.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 11, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church 724 Harrison Ave. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
