Annie Mae Boykin of Rockford IL departed this earthly life November 11, 2021. She was born March 8, 1925, in Philadelphia Mississippi, the daughter of Clarence and Cilla Day. Annie attended school in Mississippi later to receive her GED in Rockford. Annie lived in Rockford since 1945 coming from Philadelphia, MS. She was employed as a cashier by Pacemaker grocery store for many years.

Annie loved to play bingo, lottery, and slots but her greatest love was playing games with her grandchildren. She was grandma to all that she met and never turned her back on anyone.

Annie leaves to cherish many loving memories, including her daughter Mary Ellis; two sons LaVertis Stewart-Sanders, of Rockford and Howard T. Boykin of California; 14 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren; sister Ora Bell Fowler of Florida; plus, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter Mae Lockhart, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services will be held Saturday November 20, 2021, at 11am at Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church 1112 Taylor St Rockford IL 61101 with visitation from 9-11am. Burial to take place in Cedar Bluff Cemetery 1200 Rural St Rockford IL 61107.
