Anthony Terrell "Ant Lord" Young, of Rockford departed this earthly life July 27, 2025. He was born November 29, 1975 in Rockford IL the son of Diane Young and Dennis Meadows. Anthony was employed as a landscaper by W.M. Landscaping and Snow Removal. He was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Anthony attended Jefferson High School.

Anthony leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Shannon Young; his children, Karissa (Keith) Armstrong and  Kiara Jackson; six grandchildren; parents, Diane Young and Dennis (Patricia) Meadows; sister Capreasha McDowell; brother Robert Young;  a host of other relatives and friends including special cousins Tante Meadows and Tela Edgeston; and dog daughter Coco. He was predeceased by his sister, Nikea Meadows; and son, Mykel Curry.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until the time of service.
