Antowan Shawndell Lambert Jr. of Rockford departed this earthly life August  5, 2022. He was born March 8, 2002 in Rockford the son of Lakesha Brown and Antowan Lambert Sr: Antowan was employed as a package handler by FedEx. He attended Jefferson High School and was currently taking class to receive his CDL license.

Antowan leaves to cherish many loving memories; his parents, Lakesha Brown and Antowan Lambert Sr., sisters, Kemahnie Lambert, Jazea Welcome and Zaharia Lambert; brothers, Aasir and Asaad Lambert; maternal grandmother, Patricia Brown; paternal grandmother Galinda Lambert; paternal grandfather, Anthony (Charrise) Staten; maternal great grandmothers, Alberta Brown and Jean Flores; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends including special aunts, Yashira Brown, Shalonda (Poola) Glover and Yolanda Leavy; and uncle Antonio Leavy; special cousins, Tyshawn Smith, Antonio Leavy Jr., and Antario Leavy.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 27, 2022 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church 2919 19th Street. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
