Arthur Junior Primes of Rockford departed this earthly life Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was born June 12, 1949 in Durant, MS the son of Lemmie and Rosie Primes. Arthur lived in Rockford since 1968 coming from Durant. He married the former Clara Hill, November 7, 1995. Arthur was employed as a Heat Treater by Greenlee Textron 34 years before retiring. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ.  He attended schools in Durant.

Arthur leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Clara; son, Markeivin (Nakisha) Poe; four daughters, Cotina Hill, LaCosta Jackson, Twanda Lambert and LeQuista Primes; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Freeman (Lillie) Primes; and sister Jennie Ella Bailey; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Rosie Ella Charleston and Mary Lewis.
