Ashley Saloan Latoya Smart of Rockford departed this earthly life April 24, 2022. She was born June 23, 1984 in Rockford the daughter of Natalie Brown and Rodney Love. Ashley was employed as a warehouse associate by Amazon LLC three years. She attended church in Rockford. Ashley graduated from Hoffman Estates High School, later to graduate from Rockford Business College.

Ashley leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Ai'Jiah Smart and two sons, Tyress Cunningham Smart and Da'Sani Smart; parents, Natalie Bey and Rodney Love; sisters, Precious Love, and Latoya (Emmanuel) Clark; brothers, Zacarie Brown, Rodney "Phatman" (Sierra) Smart, Mikal Bey, Rodney "Pig" Smart and John Edwards; maternal grandmother, Albertha Brown; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including special niece, Amber Smart; special aunts, Joyce Smith and Caroline Brown. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Edward Smart and maternal great grandmother, Blanche Young.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
