Barry Keith King, 64, of Loves Park, IL departed this earthly life Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Barry was born January 23, 1957, in Rockford the son of Charles and Lillie King.

Barry attended Auburn High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Midway in Japan. He enjoyed traveling and living in all parts of the United States. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he met and married JoAnn Miles.

Barry leaves to cherish many loving memories, his mother Lillie King; aunts, Ruth Yancey, Maria King, Carolyn (Rev. Norman) Pickett, Bonnie Gilmore, Eva (Curtis) Howard; uncles, Vance (Julie) and Larry (Henrietta) King; nephew, Cortney King and nieces, Kindra King and Kimberly (Ronnie) Galon; sister in law, Rhonda King; special friends, Sharon Kay Anderson, Beverly King, Margie Johnson and family, Sylvester Barnett and family, Rev. Vaughn Gilmore and family, Donald Anderson, and Ernie Williams and family; he had many cousins in Michigan, Georgia, Texas and Illinois.  He was predeceased by his father, grandparents, wife, JoAnn King and brother, Craig King.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 25, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Doors will be open from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
