Betty L. Ivy of Rockford departed this earthly life December 5, 2025. She was born March 5, 1936 in Durant, MS the daughter of Robert  and Elizabeth Brown. Betty lived in Rockford since 1957 coming from Durant, MS. She married Rev. James Ivy, June 19, 1965, he preceded her in death. Betty was employed as an inspector by Rockford Products almost 40 years before retiring. She was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Betty was a former Eastern Star. She graduated from Holmes County High School.

Betty leaves to cherish many loving memories, her two sons, Thomas Golden Jr. and Timothy Nelson Ivy; four granddaughters, Tina, Tabytha, Hannah and Ariel;  a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; special niece who she raised as a daughter, Shirley Ann Simmons; four brothers, Peter, Percy, Roger and James Brown; and sisters, Christine Love, Mattie Brandon, Clara Wiley, Gracie Dudley, Hallie Patterson, Melba Beamus, Clotee Brown and Mae Brown.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday December 19, 2025 at  New Zion Missionary Baptist Church 4747 W Riverside Blvd. . Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
