Betty Jane McReynolds, of Rockford departed this earthly life July 15, 2022. She was born February 4, 1928 in Dixon, IL the daughter of William and Helen McReynolds. Betty lived in Rockford 52 years coming from Dixon. Betty married Otis Johnson December 16, 1948, in Chicago, he preceded her in death.  She was employed care taker by a Nursing Home. Betty graduated from Dixon High School.

Betty leaves to cherish many loving memories, five daughters, Lardell (Dallas) Cook, Deborah Horton, Elaine Johnson, Annette Starks and Hope (Rodriquez) George; four sons, Ronald ( Janie )Jones, Otis (Terry )Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Gregory (Patrick Ferguson) Johnson; 14 grandchildren including special granddaughter and caretaker, Angel Michelle Laster; several great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Otis Johnson; daughter, Cathy Johnson; two grandsons; five sisters, and one brother.

Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery
