Mclaurin-Grey
Nov 3, 2015 — Jul 15, 2022
Minneapolis
My name was called at Heavens playground.
The beginning…
Hey guys…I bet you weren't expecting this from me today. You knew I was special so nothing I do
is traditional. Come, take the time to come with me when dreams are born and time is never
planned, and share this last journey with me. My life began on November 3, 2015 at Rush
University in Chicago, Illinois. My mother, Diane McLaurin and father, Cortel Grey were there to
love and cherish me. I was even more special because when my mother was 4 months pregnant
with me they told her to not expect a heartbeat at possible future appointments, because I had a
few complications going on and I was diagnosed with Turners Syndrome. Even after many debates
and all information given, she decided to have me and I was named Blessings. Blessings Unique
McLaurin-Grey.
My Journey with Christ …
God called my name and it was time for me to go. I know no one knew or was ready but when he
called I went. I love God. Light House Temple, with the leading pastor Horbrook, was my church
home. I learned about Jesus and everything I knew as I crossed over was just as I learned. Beautiful!
My time on earth was borrowed so I had to return to my heavenly home.
What I did…
I graced you guys for 6 years. In the time spent with me, I had some great times. Being in kindergarten was so much fun! Everyday I learned something new. I was ready for the big 1st grade, but
it's okay because I learned so much at Sand Creek Elementary. In my spare time I loved going
swimming, bowling and the trampoline was the best (I loved to jump)!
Gimme a kiss….
If you heard this from me, then you know what this means. I asked everyone that day to give me a
kiss. Remember how my spirit was that day? I was all smiles, hugging on y'all. Just making sure
you knew I loved you. Trust me, I know you all loved me too, but God loved me more. God had
already whispered to me.
Until I see you again…
Sorry I had to leave you so soon. I will see each of you again one day. So I am leaving behind for
a little while my mother, Diane McLaurin; and father, Cortel Grey. My sisters, Enayijha Johnson,
Lanay Bell-King and brother Cortel Grey Jr. Grandfather David Mclaurin. Special Grandmother
Cozetta Jones. Grandparents Regina Grey and William Butler. Special aunt April Mcherron. Special
uncle Martell Billberry. Special cousins Mya, Nas and Rayah. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and
friends. Pre-deceased by my grandmother, Stephanie McHerron and my Special Aunt, Etta Day.
You all stuck with me and was there for me. I was truly spoiled and loved. I love you guys sooooo
much! Now "GIMME A KISS"
