Brenda Ann Arnold of Rockford departed this earthly life October 9, 2021 in her home. She was born May 28, 1955 in Chicago, IL  the daughter of James and Edna Barr. Brenda lived in Rockford since 1962 coming from Chicago, IL. She was employed as a cook by Rosewood Nursing Home. Brenda graduated from Jefferson High School class of 1974.

Brenda leaves to cherish many loving memories, son, Christopher (Tonieshia) Paige; daughter, Tausha (Phillip Dixon) Barr; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary George of Chicago and Linda (Kenneth) Dismuke of Rockford; and brother T.C. (Forristine) Barr; former husband, Robert Arnold Sr; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including special niece, Katherine George and sisters Mary and Linda who had taken the time to care for her during her illness. She was predeceased by her parents, grandson, Chrishawn Arnold; brother, James Barr Jr; and sister Janice Barr.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
