Carla Lamar Marzette of Rockford departed this earthly life July 31, 2025. She was born February 5, 1966 in Chicago, IL the daughter Dorothy Duncan and Jimmy Cooper. Carla lived in Rockford 40 years coming from Chicago, IL. She was employed in housekeeping by Crusader Clinic 10 years before becoming ill. She attended Guilford High School.

Carla leaves to cherish many loving memories, her four sons, Robert Taylor, Kenneth Marzette, Cartrayle Marzette and Cory Thompson Jr.; 10 grandchildren; two brothers Carl Marzette and Jamison  Marzette; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased parents, brother, Sanford Marzette and sister Monica Marzette.

Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 21, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
