Carla Ann Turner, of Rockford departed this earthly life August 12, 2024. She was born September 15, 1961 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Marvin Sr. and Carrine Flint. Carla married Calvin Turner, July 24, 1990; he preceded her in death. She was employed as a Licensed Practice Nurse at Locustwood Nursing Home, before becoming disabled. Carla attended West High School, later receiving her G.E.D. from Roosevelt Alternative School and received her nursing certification from Rockford Business College.

Carla leaves to cherish many loving memories, her daughter, Karshayla Turner of Rockford; three sons, Arlenzo Turner, Dontrell Turner and Devante' Turner, all of Rockford; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Kimberly Rodgers of Arizonia, Felicia (Greg) Brown of Rockford, IL; Dyshell (Jerome) Pierce of Florida, Toscha Flowers of Rockford, IL and Karen Hughes of Tennessee; two brothers, Marvin Flint Jr., and Keith Flint both of Rockford; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Calvin Turner; and son, Demico Turner.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at Carl E Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
