Cassandra "Cassie" Jones, of Rockford departed this earthly life April 27, 2022. She was born January 16, 1968 in Chicago Heights, IL the daughter of Alton Sr. and Emma Jones. Cassandra lived in Rockford most of her life living a short while in Chicago Heights, IL and Madison, WI. She was employed as a tax preparer by the State of Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Cassandra was a former member of Ephesian Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Auburn High School and later graduated from Guilford High School and attended Rock Valley College.

Cassandra leaves to cherish many loving memories, her three daughters,  Brianna Harrington, Tamshika Hereford, and Za'Riyah Jones; three sons, Michael Jones, Obadiah (Rebekah) Israel, Jerod Jones; 6 grandchildren; and mother Emma Jones; three brothers, Mark Jones, Alton Jones Jr., and Edward Jones; foster sister, Marilyn Tomlinson; special friends,  Katrina Boykins, and Tracy Gulley; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Alton Sr.

Services will be held, 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 14, 2022 at Soar Assembly 604 Salter Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
