Cecelia Ann  "Cece" Washington, of Cherry Valley, departed this earthly life September 10, 2025. She was born February 8, 1948 in Rockford the daughter of Charles and Flossie Mae Martin. Cecelia married Herbert Washington May 19, 2001. She was employed as an executive secretary by Providence Baptist Church over 20 years before retiring. Cecelia was also employed as a receptionist by Quaker Oats many years. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, serving in the Choir as a director. Cecelia graduated from West Senior High School class of 1966.

Cecelia leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, Herbert Washington; two grandchildren, Ashlei Cook and Antoine Pittman; two great grandchildren, Azaria Cook and Malakai Williams; step sons, Carlon and Marlon Washington; two brothers, Charles (Juanita) Martin and Ronnie (Etta Jean) Martin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including god daughter, Ingrid Watkins. She was predeceased by her parents Charles Martin and Flossie Mae Vance; and daughter, Holly Cook.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Providence Baptist Church 2209 Clifton Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
