Cedric H. Meeks, of Rockford departed this earthly life August 2, 2025. He was born August 30, 1961 in Rockford the son of Lindbergh and Margaret Meeks.  Cedric was employed by Valspar several years, MC Products 12 years and as a batch maker by Top Dye several years before retiring in 2023. He was baptized and raised in Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. Cedric was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and he loved to grill. He graduated from East High School, later to attended DeVry Institute.

Cedric leaves to cherish many loving memories, his four daughters, Takisha Evans, Courtney Meeks, Ciera Meeks and Kayla (Kaven) McBride; son, Jamal Meeks; seven grandchildren; the love of his life and companion of 42 years Madeline; sister, Kattie Starnes; five brothers, Billy (Lola), Richard (Barbara), Tommy (Evelyn), Lindbergh Jr. and Christopher; three aunts, Verla Purifoy, Earline Rideout and Lessie Mae Rideout; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; three nephews and one niece.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church 3000 Rural Street. Family will receive friends from 12:00p.m. until the time of service.
