Charles Edward "Chuck" Thomas of Rockford, departed this earthly life March 27, 2026. He was born August 30, 1962 in Memphis, TN the son of Ernest and Josie Thomas. Charles lived most of his life in Rockford coming from Memphis. He was employed as a Supervisor at Cherry Valley Tool. He graduated from Jefferson High School.

Charles leaves to cherish many loving memories, his son, Lee Washington;  companion of many years, Mary Wilson;

nieces, Monique (Rico) Rayford and Natassia Fair; and nephew, Oscar (Chibrea) Lockridge; honorary brothers, Ernest Braggs, Demetrius Goode, Jurand Powell, Don Ferguson, Keith Armstrong, Kenny Bass, Ray Scott, and Lorenzo Thompson; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents;  brothers, Oscar, Artis and Anthony Lockridge and Dewain Thomas.

Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.   Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
