Charles Tierre Wyatt of Rockford departed this earthly life February 5, 2023. He was born January 31, 1979 in Rockford, the son of Jessie Wyatt and Opal Evans. Charles married the former Lavonne Caviness, October 19, 2000.  He was employed as a building engineer by Breckinridge Apartments, five years before becoming ill. Charles was a former member of Ephesian Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized as a teenager. He attended Guilford High School later to receive his G.E.D. and attended Rock Valley College.

Charles leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife, Lavonne Wyatt; four daughters, Zaria, Zarrell, and Specialty Wyatt and Unique Taylor; two sons, Charles Wyatt Jr. and Nikko Cavender; four grandchildren; mother, Opal Evans; four sisters, Martina (Jerrod) Larry and Candace (Eric) Hooker; Belinda and Linda; three nieces and one nephew a host of other relatives and friends.  He was predeceased by his father, Jessie Wyatt; and nephew, Caleb Hooker.

Services  will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church 1112 Taylor Street. Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
