Cheryl Ann Woodard, of Rockford departed this earthly life February 26, 2023. She was born April 2, 1957 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Charles Sr. and Ruth Perteete. Cheryl married Stanley Woodard November 24, 1979 in Rockford. She was employed by Borg Warner, Sunstrand and a self-employed Cosmetologist. She was a member of Greater New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ serving in the Choir. Cheryl was a avid bowler. She graduated from Auburn High School class of 1975 and attended Tennessee State University.

Cheryl leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband Stanley; daughter, Phyllis Woodard; four sons, Stanley (Chanel) Woodard II, Carlos (Mary) Woodard, Michael Woodard and Donald Woodard; 18 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; four brothers, Michael (Debra) Perteete, Charles Perteete Jr., Philip Perteete and Timothy (Tina) Perteete; sister, Lisa Perteete; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 Greater New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. 3533 Montrose Ave. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
