Clarence William "Monk" Duncan of Rockford departed this earthly life February 6, 2024. He was born December 23, 1946 in Knoxville, TN the son of  Charles and Ella Mae Duncan. Clarence lived in Rockford since 1968 coming from Knoxville. He was employed as a machine operator by Camcar Textron many years before retiring. Clarence graduated from Austin East High School in Knoxville class of 1965

Clarence leaves to cherish many loving memoires, his daughter, Angela Young; son, Marcus (Kimberly) Lewis; four grandchildren, Yamari, Kenyon, Mark Jr., and  Makiyah; three sisters, Anita Means, Marilyn and Tammy Duncan;  a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Mark Terry Sr; two brothers, Ralph Penn and Marvin Duncan; three sisters, Jane Bell, Margaret Manning, and Karen Duncan.

Visitation with family will be held 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday,  February 16, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 200 N. Johnston Ave.
