Cleophas "Cleo" Tell Jr., of Rockford departed this earthly life March 17, 2023. He was born May 20, 1970 in Rockford the son of Cleophas Sr. and Charlene Tell. Cleophas married the former Tywanna West, August 23, 2019. He was employed as a custodian by the Rockford Board of Education serving at Ellis Elementary School and Auburn High School. Cleophas graduated from Auburn High School class of 1988.

Cleophas leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Tywanna; son, Cleophas Tell III; daughter Jazmine Tell; one grand daughter, Aubree Tell; parents, Cleophas Tell Sr. and Charlene Tell; brother, Michael  Tell; four sisters, Michelle (Salahadin) Muhammad, Danielle Tell, Talitha Paige and Kimberly Spears; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends including special friends, Keiffer, Terry and Tony.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N.. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until the time of service.
