Coretta Meeks, of Rockford departed this earthly life October 24, 2022. She was born May 7, 1974 in Hot Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Ietha McClelland and Nathaniel Branch.  Coretta lived in Rockford over 40 years coming from Arkansas. She was employed as a driver by the Rockford Board of Education. Coretta attended Bethel Baptist Church. She attended Auburn High School.

Coretta leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Nigeria Meeks and Chrishanna Glover; two sons, Marquan and Dewaun Glover; three grandchildren, Nyasia, Island and Danayla; sisters,  Janice (Larry) Douglas, Debra (Henry) Williams, Elaine Meeks and Geanette Alderson; brother, Tony (Sandra) Meeks; special friend, Brian Lee; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Malah'ki Lee; and brother, Calvin Meeks.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church 1135 Harrison Ave.  Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
