Cynthia Michelle “Cent” Childs, of Rockford departed this earthly life October 14, 2026. She was born June 8, 1967, in St. Louis, Mo the daughter of Betsy Davis and Robert Malone. Cynthia lived in Rockford, IL since 1968 coming from St. Louis. She married Andrew Childs, February 14, 1986, in Rockford. Cynthia was employed as a Administrator by Crusader Clinic for 4 years before becoming ill. She was a member of Victory Outreach, serving on the Worship Team, on the Decorating Committee and with the Child Care Ministry.

She attended Auburn High School, later to receive her GED in 2010 and attended Rockford Career College.

Cynthia leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, Andrew; daughter, Tiffnay Child; two sons, Mario Jones, and Andrew Childs IV; her grandchildren, Sheona, Teona, Jayceon, Anastacia, Elijah, Demetrius, Jazmine, Marsheon, Sariah, and Yahyness; mother, Betsy (Samuel) Reddic; sister, Patrice Reddic; two brothers, Samuel II. (Lakeesha) Reddic and Dorian (Michelle) Reddic; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Malone and stepfather Samuel Reddic; and grandson, Isaiah.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2026, at St. Luke MB Church 2919 19th Street. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
