Debra Kaye Malone, of Rockford departed this earthly life July 22, 2022. She was born December 24, 1955 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Clifford and Nellie Ruth Malone. Debra lived in Rockford most of her life in Rockford coming from St. Louis. Debra was employed as a Social Worker by the State of Illinois over 10 years and as a activity director for several nursing homes. She was also a private interior decorator. Debra graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1974 and graduated with her Bachelors and Master Degrees in Social Services from Northern Illinois University.

Debra leaves to cherish many loving memories, her daughter, Nicole Malone; two sons, Derrick Malone and Darell (Sharon) Malone; 13 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m.  Monday, August 1, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time  of service.
