DeRon E. "Goldie" Hill of Rockford departed this earthly life Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was born July 31, 1975 in Rockford the son of Pamela Hill and Robert E. Lewis Jr. He married the former Czedesia Simon, March 28, 2019 in Chicago. He attended Auburn High School and Boylan High.

DeRon leaves to cherish many loving memories, wife Czedesia Hill; son, Deveon "D.J." Hill; daughter, Dareia Hill; mother, Pamela Spearman; brothers, Robert E. (Andrea) Lewis III and John (Kerri) Dykes; two sisters, Stacey Young and LaTisha Simon; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Robert E. Lewis Jr. and sister, Natisha Simon.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, April 22, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. until the time of service.
