Derrick Edward Roberts of Rockford departed this earthly life July 9, 2023. He was born June 3, 1965 in Henderson, Kentucky the son of David and Inez Roberts. Derrick lived 8 years in Rockford coming from Columbia, Tennessee. He married the former Margaret Bullock in Gatlinburg, TN           Derrick attended Jones Chapel A.M.E Church in Tennessee and while in Rockford he attended Christian Growth Center. He attended Guilford High School.

Derrick leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Margaret; two daughters, Natasha Bullock and Amber Roberts; step son, Shon Bullock; seven grandchildren; mother, Inez Roberts; two sisters, Davidia (Lonnie) Williams and Latoya (Christopher) Davis; brother, David (Sharon) Roberts; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, July 21, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
