Dominique Marquis Leonard-Burns of Rockford departed this earthly life December 12, 2024. He was born October 1, 1990 in Elgin, IL the son of Margaret Garne Leonard and Cameron Littlejohn. Dominique lived in Rockford most of his life coming from Elgin, IL.  He married the former Brittney Wiltfang, December 13, 2019. Dominique was employed as a fork lift operator by Rockford Tool Craft. He attended East High School, later to receive his G.E.D. and also received his Associates Degree from Lakeland College.

Dominique leaves to cherish many loving memoires, his wife, Brittney Burns;  two sons, Dominique Marquis Burns Jr. and Dash Jacquis Burns; parents, Margaret Garne Leonard, Cameron Littlejohn and Annette Leonard Burns; four sisters, Destiny Littlejohn, Monique Hobbs, Robin, Littlejohn and Dayviasia Britt; five brothers, Desmond Leonard, Devontae Lewis, Cameron Littlejohn Jr., Curtis Hobbs, and Keon Lewis; special maternal great grandmother, Margaret Spivey; a host of nieces, and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Ann Leonard and paternal grandmother Sylvia Littlejohn.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until the time of service.
