Dominique Antoine Richardson of Rockford departed this earthly life September 22, 2023. He was born, June 11, 1979 in Rockford the son of Jerry and Regina Richardson.  Dominique was employed as a package handler by FedEx and as a laborer, many years by H B Plastics in Freeport. He graduated from Thomasville Senior High School in N. Carolina; later to receive his double Bachelors Degree in Anthropology and in Philosophy from East Caroline University, graduating with honors.

Dominique leaves to cherish many loving memories, two sons, Aytien Schneider and Nickoli; his parents, Regina McBride and Jerry Richardson; four brothers, Elliott Rogers, Andre Richardson, Alvin McBride, and Shawntrell McBride; two step brothers, Bernard and Derrick Puckett; maternal grandmother, Woodie (Joe) Harper; paternal grandfather Edward "Cal" Richardson; step mother, Barbara Wagner; special family friend, who he loved like a father, Cortez Wamble; special uncles, James Green and Derry Chaney; special aunt, Dorothy (Erufus) Fant; and special cousin, Masherill Koonce; a host of nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased  by two brothers, Tremayne Richardson and Alex McBride.

Services will be held  1:30 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2023 at Mt. Sinai  Baptist Church 1901 W. State St. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
