Donald "Donnie" Woods, of Rockford departed this earthly life December 14, 2025. He was born February 12, 1953 in Whiteville, TN the son of Robert Sr. and Jennie Mae Woods. Donald lived in Rockford most of his life coming from Whiteville. He was formerly employed as a machine operator by Gunite Foundry before becoming ill. Donald attended Rockford Public Schools.

Donald leaves to cherish many loving memories, his two sons, Donnie Ray Woods and Markus (Waverly) Woods; four daughters, Shonta (Corey) Jackson, Donielle (Sterling) Horton, Taylea Fletcher, and Shatoya Holliman; 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; four sisters, Peg (Ron) Williams, Juanita Woods, Delores (Jeff) Walker and Alberta Woods; 6 brothers, Carie (Donna) Woods, Alex (Mary) Woods, James Woods Robert Earl (Nora) Woods, Marvin Woods and Curtis (Amy) Woods; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends including his former wife of 25 years Ellen Woods who continued to be his companion. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Donta Mackey; sisters Margaret Watkins,  Doris Holliman and  Eloise "Sweat Pea" Pearson, Wanda  Jean Woods; and brother, Jonathan Woods.

Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church 724 Harrison Avenue. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery . Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
