Dorothy Ann Walker-Allen of Rockford departed this earthly life January 26, 2024. She was born August 13, 1957  in Rockford, IL; the daughter of Willie B. and Rachel Walker.  Dorothy lived in Rockford since 1961 coming from Mississippi. She was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant by PA Peterson and St Annes Nursing Home. Dorothy was a child care provider for many for her nieces and nephews.  She graduated from West High School.

Dorothy leaves to cherish many loving memoires, three sons, Michael Walker, Rodric Walker and Jarod Wesenberg; 8 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; father, Willie B. Walker; eight sisters, Clydia (Will) Clark, Clara (Dennis) Debrie, Arcy Walker- Allen, Jayme (Tony) Walker, Betty (Harrison) Lumpkins, Brenda Walker-Connell, Faye and Sharon Walker;  three brothers, Jerry Walker, Lorenzo Walker, and Bobby Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by her mother, Rachel Walker; and daughter Kiyonna Walker; sisters, Stella Armstrong and Kareem Brooks.

Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held  9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
