Earl  "Earl The Pearl" Robinson Brown, of Rockford departed this earthly life August 3, 2023.  He was born October 31, 1942 in Summerfield, LA; the son of Earl Sr. and Geraldine Brown. Earl lived in Rockford since 1951 coming from Louisiana. He married the former Judy Thomas, July 29, 2006. Earl was employed as a custodian by Yorkdale Nursing Home, currently Amberwood Nursing Home, many years before retiring. He was a member of St. Paul Church of God in Christ. Earl graduated from East High School.

Earl leaves to cherish many loving memories, his devoted wife, Judy; sons, Robert ( Jill Marie) Eason and Milton (Rea) Jones; daughters, Angela Spraggins, Marlo (Bryan) Slaughter, Aretha Gaston and Patricia Pracket; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; stepson, Marvin Thomas; brother Melvin Brown and sister, Anita Brown.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August  12, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. . Visitation will be held 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
