Easter Elizabeth Holloway, of Rockford departed this earthly life May 19, 2024. She was born March 25, 1951 in Vicksburg, MS the daughter of Johnny and Willie Mae Shivers. Easter lived in Rockford 45 years coming from Vicksburg. She married William Holloway Sr., May 14, 1975, he preceded her in death. Easter was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Park Strathmoor Nursing Home. She was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.

Easter leaves to cherish many loving memories, her daughter, Janelle Holloway; son, William "Bill" Holloway Jr; three grandchildren, Joseph and Kimoria Holloway-Rockwell and Autum Matthews;  sisters, Millie (Robert) Baymon and Dorothy Jackson; brothers, George Shivers, and Paul (Francine) Shivers; sister in law, Minnie Shivers; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, and husband William O. Holloway, Sr; daughter, Jackie Holloway; sisters, Victoria Shivers and Mary Cole; and brothers, Andy Brown, Johnny Shiver and Sammy Shivers.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. +
