Elana Kay Davis of Rockford departed this earthly life July 14, 2024. She was born July 29, 1960 in Rockford the daughter of Richard and Della Wainwright.  Elana married Michael Davis. She was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant many years last employed by St. Annes Nursing Home. Elana attended 4th Tribe Sanctuary of Yah. She attended West High School, later to receive her G.E.D. and Certified Nurses Assistant Certification.

Elana leaves to cherish many loving memories, her daughter, Claurisse Wainwright; two grandchildren, Tevayah Gray and Alayiah Wainwright; five brothers, Ernest Carpenter,  RC (Diane) Carpenter, Larry Wainwright, Ervin Wainwright and David (Sommer) Wainwright; former husband, Michael Davis a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends including  best friend, Mary Blan. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, James Carpenter and sister, Diane Holmes.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
