Ella Mae Owens departed this earthly life September 27, 2024. She was born March 8, 1946 in Bluff City, AR., the daughter of Roy and Queen Ester Sims. She was a member of Progressive Baptist Church. She was employed as a school bus driver for Rockford School District 205. She attended West High School.

Ella Mae leaves to cherish many loving memories, sister; Della Sims, brothers; Robert Sims, Roosevelt (Peggy) Sims, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, husbands; Claude Puifoy and Junior C. Owens, brothers; Rev. Charles (Lena) Sims, Elroy Sims, and Lewis C Sims, sisters; Annie Pearl Sims, Lula Armstrong, and Jean Bradford, and Zannie Strong.

Services will be 2:00pm Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home. Visitation is 12 noon till the time of service.
