Ercie Lee Gulley of Rockford departed this earthly life October 7, 2021. He was born March 23, 1934 in Rosston, Arkansas the son of Jimmy Lee and Gillie Gulley. Ercie lived in Rockford since 1945 coming from Arkansas. He married the former Betty Alexander August 10, 1985. Ercie was employed as a machine operator by General Electric 45 years before retiring. He attended schools in Arkansas.

Ercie leaves to cherish many loving memories, wife of 36 years, Betty; four daughters, Theresa, Lisa, Tammy Gulley and Talish Brown; two sons, Jerry (Laronda) Gulley and Marcus Gulley; step children; Delores Washington, Richard Mack Jr., Mary Scott and Carolyn (Allen) King; 20 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; sister, Marie Rivers; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; three daughters, Debbie Bearden, Dorothy Goodwin and Sharon Smith; step daughter, Evelyn Green; three brothers, Hersie Lee, David and Lloyd Gulley.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 200 N. Johnston Ave.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
