Estella Brownlee 91, of Rockford departed this earthly life January 2, 2022. She was born January 31, 1930 in Eupora, Mississippi the daughter of DeWitt and Carrie Burt. Estella lived in Rockford over 30 years coming from Chicago, IL. She was employed as a clerk by Salvation Army in Chicago from 1966 to 1988 before retiring.  Estella was a member of Westside Church of God in Christ, serving as a Mother of the church, on the Usher Board, and Nurses Guild. She attended schools in Eupora, MS.

Estella leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Catherine Brown; two sons, Sammy Brownlee and Robert E. (Ruby) Williams; 7 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren; numerous godchildren a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, and one brother.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Monday, January 10, 2022 at Providence Baptist Church 2209 Clifton Avenue. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
