Eugene Arthur Brown, of Rockford departed this earthly life February 28, 2026. He was born March 2, 1926 in West Memphis, TN the son of Fannie Glover. Eugene lived in Rockford since the 1950's coming from West Memphis. He married the former Eva Mae Soward, she preceded him in death and he later married Catherine Jones, she preceded him in death also. Eugene was employed as a assembler by Goss Manufacturing many years before their relocation and was employed by Eagles over 15 years before retiring.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Eugene was a member of St. Paul Church of God in Christ, serving as a Father of the church. He attended schools in Tennessee.

Eugene leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Renee Jamerson and Karen (Stanley) Fort; two sons, Herchsel (Nancy) Brown and Timothy (Kelly) Cochran; step daughter Tracey Jones; 15 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother; two daughters, Patrice Brown and Eva Gene Brown;  two sons, Kevin Brown and Quincy Brown; three sisters and four brothers.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026 at St. Paul Church of God in Christ 1001 Bishop Washington Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
