Floria D. Polk of Rockford departed this earthly life January 18, 2022. She was born September 27, 1929 in Sparkman, Arkansas the daughter of John and Amy Craigg. Floria lived in Rockford since the early 1950 coming from Arkansas. She married Edward Polk in Freeport, IL, he preceded her in death. Floria was employed as a machine operator by Rockford Products 27 years before retiring. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Floria was a member of the Queen Esther Eastern Star. She attended schools in Arkansas.

Floria leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters Annie Blacknell and Joyce Stapleton; son, Geary (Brenda) Polk; step son, James Polk; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including god daughter, Jackie Poole. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, son, Tommy Polk; grandsons, Tonza Stapleton and Torry Poole; and great grandson, Terrence Bowden; three sisters, Ora D. Tidwell, Bessie Brownlee and Mary Francies; and two brothers, London Craigg and Leandrew Craigg.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
