Florine Johnson, of Rockford departed this earthly life January 16, 2025. She was born August 12, 1938 in England, Arkansas the daughter of Gennie and Ethel Hendricks. Florine lived in Rockford 27 years coming from Bellwood, IL. She married Ollie Lee Johnson Sr., December 4, 1965, he preceded her in death. Florine was a self employed child chare provider, at Flo's Daycare. She was a member of Central Christian Church. She graduated from School in Arkansas.

Florine leaves to cherish many loving memories, two sons, Ollie Lee Johnson Jr., and Matthew Jordan Johnson; six daughters, Angela (Kenneth) Coleman, Rita Johnson, Saundra Gatlin, Jeanette Peloso, Kimberly Denise Johnson and Trina (Kordrey) Jones; 19 grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends including special cousin, John Miller. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ollie Sr; sister, Ethel Sanford; 12 brothers, Elijah, Rommie, Gennie, Abraham, Levi, James "Red", Billy, Cleophus, A.C., L.D., Willie and Charles Hendricks.

Service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Central Christian Church 6595 Guilford Road. Visitation 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
