Gloria Mae Lloyd of Rockford departed this earthly life June 7, 2023. She was born October 27, 1946 in Swainsboro, Georgia the daughter Alonzo and Mattie Davis. She lived over 60 years in Illinois coming from Swainsboro. Gloria married Bobby Lloyd November of 1964. She was employed by Pfizer as a preparer  27 years before retiring. Gloria was a member of the House of God. She formerly served as an ordained minster. She graduated from Emanuel County High School class of 1964.

Gloria leaves to cherish many loving memories, husband, Bobby; two sons, Victor and Christian Lloyd; two daughters, Barbie Lloyd and Tiffany (Robert) Lloyd-White; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; five brothers;Willie james (Caroline) Davis, Rufus (Erma) Davis, Marcus (Bernadine) Davis, Danny (Diane) Davis, Jerry (Cynthia) Sample, and Askia (Nydia) Davis; three sisters, Sandra (Mitchell) Brinkley, Wylodene Davis and Lillie (Sheni) Adegbite; best friend, Estella McClelland; a host of nieces, nephews other relative and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers Alonzo Davis Jr. and Thomas Davis and sister Sheila Tillman; god daughter Dawn Prunty.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
