Grace Evelyn Loving, of Rockford departed this earthly life July 29, 2025. She was born August 21, 1935 in Mound City, IL the daughter of Ella Sutton and Hoyte Stovall. Grace lived in Rockford since 1967 coming from Chicago. She married James E. Loving Sr. November 28,      , 1959 he preceded her in death. Grace was employed as a cook and crossing guard  by the  Rockford Board of Education 32 years before retiring.  She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church serving on the Mothers Board. Grace was a member of the Eastern Star Princess Zorah Chapter #20, where she served as Past Worthy Matron. She attended Love Joy High School.

Graces leaves to cherish many loving memories, her three sons, Jerry Lamar Pryor, James E. Loving Jr, and Jonathan Loving ; four grandchildren, Khalid Pryor, Christina Pryor, Brian Pryor and Arial   (Rolandis) Gladney; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Guyton, Alma Terry and Lorraine Tomilnson;  five brothers,  Aaron Spears, John Spears Sr., Robert Spears, Clarence Stovall and Charles Spears Sr; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband; parents, sisters Dorothy Mayes  and Lennie Mae Jenkins and brothers Talmadge and Melvin Stovall.

Services will be held  12:00 noon  Monday, August 4, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church 1720 Morgan Street. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
