Helen Tine Rockett, of Rockford departed earthly life September 6, 2026. She was born December 23, 1938 in Goodman, Mississippi; the daughter of C.D. and Vera Collins. Helen lived in Rockford since 1964 coming from Goodman, Mississippi. She married George Willie Rockett, November of 1960, he preceded her in death. Helen was employed over 35 years as an assembly worker by Green Giant which is now General Mills. She was a member of West Side Church of Christ. Helen graduated from Sallis High School.

Helen leaves to cherish many loving memories, three daughters, Patricia (Eddie) Davis, Joyce Rockett and Corinne Rockett all of Rockford, Illinois; step son, Robert Burnell of Birmingham, Alabama; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Michael (Mary) Collins; five sisters, Hattie Wilson, Nancy Nettles, Emma Yates, Lynn Williams all of Kansas City, Missouri; and Eve (John) Harmon of Kenner, Louisiana; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Betty Grayned; sisters, Eris Parker, Dora Campbell, Kassie Lee Rockett, Mary Roby, Ethel Collins, Margaret Riley and Doris James.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026 at West Side Church of Christ 1523 Morgan St. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
