Hester Lou Hill, of Rockford departed this earthly life November 5, 2022. She was born February 3, 1945 in Bunnlevel, NC the daughter of James and Mary Seaberry. Hester lived in Rockford since 1990 coming from Chicago, IL. She married, Elder Sky A. Arrow in 1992, he preceded her in death. She was employed as a cook by Hines V.A. Hospital in Chicago and Swedish American Hospital before retiring. Hester was a member of Greater New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, serving on the Mothers Board. She graduated from schools in Bunnlevel1, NC.

Hester leaves to cherish many loving memories; two daughters, Janice (Timothy) Davis and Theresa (Lemuel) Mitchell Henderson; two sons, Terrell Chance and Percy (Tiffany) Chance; over 40 grandchildren many great grandchildren; two nieces, Patricia and Debbie and three nephews, Edward, Stevie and Lafrederick; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, sons Kenneth and Corey Chance; three sisters; and one brother. Since her passing her son Wayne Chance Jr. has passed away.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m.  Friday, November 18, 2022 at Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church 1102 Taylor St. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
