James Arthur Bailey Jr., of Rockford departed this earthly life May 20, 2026. He was born March 19, 1976 in Rockford the son of James Sr. and Lula Bailey. James was employed Dock Office Clerk by Ryder System Inc. 16 years. He attended Guilford High School, later to graduate from Roosevelt Alternative School.

James leaves to cherish many loving memories, his daughter, Promise Guidry; sister, Iris (Eddie Bowling) Bailey; and brother Corey (Lori Ann Bisluk) Bailey; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Lula.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Thursday June 4, 2026 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
