Jane "Janey" Davis, 63, of Rockford Illinois died Thursday, October 13, 2022. She was born March 7, 1959, in Rockford Illinois to the union of Dorothy and Thomas Davis Jr. Janey attended Rockford East High School where she graduated in 1977. She was employed at Ingersoll Milling Machine Company for many years.

Janey was a member of the Israel of God's Church WHA. She loved to sing and sang in the church choir. Her voice would move the congregation and bring joy to many.

Janey leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Mother Dorothy Gray, sisters, Denise (Fredrick) Rodgers, Rebecca Davis, Cynthia Hall, Elizabeth Davis, and Patricia Davis. Brothers, Deacon John (Kim) Davis, Morris (Janine) Davis, James Davis (Janey's twin brother), and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church family, and friends.

Janey was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, Deacon Thomas Davis Jr., and brother, Thomas Davis III.

Services will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Israel of God WHA 1505 Clifton Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 11:30a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
