Jewell V. Thomas, of Rockford departed this earthly life March 1, 2025. He was born September 20, 1961 in Rockford, the son of Jewel and Joann Thomas. Jewell was formerly employed in construction work by Behr Company.  He loved to hunt, fish, sing and listen to music.

Jewell leaves to cherish many loving memories, his two daughters, Tameka (Travis) Deatherage and Phoenix Thomas; two grandsons, Remington and Elias Deatherage; mother, Joann Thomas; two sisters, Debbie Ellis and Michelle (Michael) Brown; two brothers, Steve Thomas and Kirby Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Jewel Thomas; sister, Judy Curry; and brothers, Leslie "Donnie" Thomas and Andre Johnson Thomas.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
