Jewelyn Ortha "Judy" Wilkins, of Rockford departed this earthly life September 28, 2023. She was born November 13, 1965 in Rockford, the daughter of James and Patricia Wilkins. Jewelyn was employed as a package handler by UPS, 15 years before retiring.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, serving on the nurses guild. Jewelyn graduated from East High School class of 1983, later to attend Altamore's Beauty School.

Jewelyn leaves to cherish many loving memories, three sons, Datonjames, Jaylen and Patlondon Wilkins; daughter, Ieashea Wilkins; three grandchildren, Cornelius, Korzea and I'Hanna; parents, James Wilkins and Patricia Wilkins; three brothers, Devlon Wilkins, Markrell Wilkins and James (Marine) Wilkins; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Dwight Wilkins.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday October 9, 2023 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 401 N. Avon St.  Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
