Johnathan " Johnnie Gee"  James Jones of Rockford departed this earthly life June 10, 2023. He was born June 22, 2002 in Chicago the son of Teresa Price and Johnnie Jones Jr. Johnathan lived in Rockford since 2011 coming from Chicago, IL. He attended church in Chicago. Johnathan attended Jefferson High School. He loved to make music and rap.  his passion was fixing on his car and playing basketball, hooping he called it. Johnathan also loved to dance and play with his kids, niece, nephews, brothers and sister. He was the light that lit up every room.

Johnathan leaves to cherish many loving memories, his mother, Teresa Price; father Johnnie Jones Jr;  sons, Johnathan James Ducksworth- Jones, and Jay Adam James Jones; brothers, Johnnie Jones III, Jaquan Price and Donquell Grove; sister Aleanna Bradley; niece Milani Jones; nephew, Jaicee Jones; paternal grandmother, Karen Jones; maternal grandparents, Ora Mae Price and Lonnie Williams; a host of aunts, uncles other relatives and friends including the mother of his children, Drejonna Ducksworth. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Johnnie Jones Sr;

Services will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
